Brainstorm
- Spend plenty of time refining your Jäynä idea
- Don't get stuck on one idea; remember to reset your mind occasionally and continue later
- Write things down on paper. It might be challenging, but it's worth it
- Consider if you can take the idea even further somehow
- Remember: A well-planned Jäynä is half done!
Patent your Jäynä
- Patenting your Jäynä is mandatory in the Fuksi series
- Otherwise, patenting is recommended if you think your topic is something that others might also come up with
- For the general series, patenting happens through sending email to jaynaylituomari[at]gmail.com
Secure the necessary permits
- You often need to ask for permission from the location where the Jäynä will be performed
- For example, if the Jäynä is done in a shopping mall, request permission for your presence to avoid security guard interventions
- A polite phone call and honesty will get you far
- Don't leave asking for permissions until the last minute
Implementation phase
It's time to go into the field!
Complete your Jäynä well in advance, as finalizing the documentation takes time.
Remember to think during your Jäynä execution if the Jäynä could be taken even further.
Aftercare is an essential part of Jäynä activities. All participants should be left with a positive feeling about participating in the Jäynä.
You must ask for permission from those being Jäynä'd to use any material.
And most importantly: Remember to have fun!
Documentation
Obtain enough material about the Jäynä implementation. It's unfortunate if the idea doesn't come across due to lack of material. The more material, the better!
Remember that judging happens based on the documentation, so its importance cannot be overemphasized.
Documentation must be submitted in digital form.
